GHOSTS OF GRENFELL

9TH JULY 2017 23:34

Thought of the night: life's short, last week was an eye opener for me... I swear everytime I see pics of the Grenfell Tower fire or hear witness stories I tear up. I realised life's too short when I lost friends who I thought I would see everyday and the thought of them passing away in such a way never crossed my mind. When I first heard it was confirmed I refused to believe it. Only thing everyone was able to do was just pray for the victims, and pray for sabr (patience). It was more than an eye opener, but somehow a lesson for everyone that we all learnt something from, it's sad that we had to learn it this way... the pain and anger that everyone felt but couldn't express. What I'm trying to say is that ... You don't know when it's your time to go, live your life in a way you want people to remember you just like how the El-wahabis lived, leave such an imprint that people will never be able to forget, live everyday like it's your last day, and whatever it is your going through... swallow your pride and do what you gotta do, life's too short to hold grudges, and most importantly never forget to thank God everyday ❤️

Joined the 'justice for Grenfell' protest with my friend. Holding El-wahabis picture.
